This December, Ocean Park brings warm holiday blessings to our guests by offering unconventional photo opportunities. Meanwhile, to make it a special one for the Park’s adorable animal ambassadors, the Park’s animal caretaker team has prepared a series of Christmas-themed enrichments for them and wish them a Merry Christmas.
Using carrots and ice, the animal caretakers built Christmas tree and snowmen for the arctic fox family of five at Arctic Fox Den. The gentle arctic fox parents Gochi and Mochi, together with their daughter Trinity quickly discovered the colourful “vegetable ice forest”. They immediately ate the carrot noses of the snowmen. The other daughters, Circle and Siu Go, arrived shortly as the party heated up with joy and cheers. They found cherry tomatoes on the snow, and chased around each other. All of them were so excited that they even pushed the ice sculptures over!
Joining the crowd in celebrating one of the most beautiful time of the year, animal caretakers also presented different types of enrichment to red panda, Cong Cong, including an ice sculpture and a Christmas tree. The caretaker team firstly made gingerbread by high-fibre biscuits and created a Christmas wreath made of bamboo leaves. The items were then put onto the ice sculpture together with yam beans, carrots and sweet potatoes. The caretakers also brought him a wooden Christmas tree decorated with cube-shaped carrots, pears and his all-time favourite, Fuji apples. Cong Cong was attracted greatly to the enrichment items and went straight for his Christmas meal.
From now until 1 January 2020, guests can experience an array of attractions specially designed for the festive season. From the bright and artistic “Crystalline Christmas Tree presented by Sino Group” to the contemporary “Shimmering Christmas Forest”, guests will certainly be enchanted by the dazzling glitter of the installations under the winter sunlight. Santa Claus and his elves will also make special appearances at the gift-box-shaped “Santa's Christmas Cottage”, where guests can capture their Christmas memories with these celebratory icons. For those who are craving for extreme excitement, do hop on our brand-new ride, “Wild Twister”. Hong Kong residents be sure not to miss an exclusive Winter Promotion. From now on, until 5 January 2020, guests eligible for the offer can purchase two regular-price daytime admission tickets at the price of HK$700 (adult) or HK$350 (child).
