Conservation Chill Club - Conservation Photography Competition

Introduction and Objective:

Dive deep into the beauty and uniqueness of the Golden Birdwing, Green Turtle and Acropora Corals. Explore their intricate relationship with human and society through Conservation Chill Club - Conservation Photography Competition. Use the Conservation Chill Club Instagram or Facebook filter to capture the wonder of nature, promote conservation and raise awareness of environmental protection in our society.

Eligibility:

Participants must be aged between 12 and 29. Each participant can only submit one entry. Repeated or late entries will not be accepted. Entrant must participate as an individual. Awardees will need to provide relevant documents to prove their eligibility.

Application Method:

Method 1: Instagram
  1. Go to https://www.instagram.com/ar/1146681139124931/, use the Conservation Chill Club filter in Story mode to take a photo and save it.
  2. Upload the photo as a post with captions introducing your photo (50 words or less; not counting the hashtag; both Chinese and English are accepted).
  3. Add the hashtag #OceanParkConservationChillClub and @hkoceanpark​
  4. Privacy setting of the entrant’s account must be set to “Public” for the organiser to collect the submission.
Method 2: Facebook
  1. Go to https://www.facebook.com/fbcameraeffects/tryit/1146681139124931/, use the Conservation Chill Club filter in Story mode to take a photo and save it.
  2. Upload the photo as a post with captions introducing your photo (50 words or less; not counting the hashtag; both Chinese and English are accepted).
  3. Add the hashtag #OceanParkConservationChillClub and @香港海洋公園 Ocean Park Hong Kong
  4. Privacy setting of the entrant’s submission post must be set to “Public” for the organiser to collect the submission.
Method 3: Online Submission
  1. Go to https://www.instagram.com/ar/1146681139124931/ or https://www.facebook.com/fbcameraeffects/tryit/1146681139124931/, use the Conservation Chill Club filter in Instagram or Facebook Story mode to take a photo and save it.
  2. Go to https://oceanparkhongkong.ievent.hk/formStandard/start/3040 and submit the photo.

Judging Criteria:

Awardees will be selected based on whether the photo and caption match the theme, originality, and the conservation message brought out. The organiser has the final decision on the judging process and results.

Awards:

Gold Award 5 Awardees 6 admission tickets to Ocean Park and 1 set of Conservation Chill Club postcards; Awarded entries will be published at Ocean Park
Silver Award 10 Awardees 4 admission tickets to Ocean Park
Bronze Award 15 Awardees 2 admission tickets to Ocean Park
Results will be announced on 26 March 2021 and awardees will be contacted by the organiser.

Terms and Conditions:

  1. Entries of the Competition must be personal original work of the Entrant, without infringing the rights and interests of others including but not limited to copyright. The copyright of the Competition Entries must be held by the Competition Entrant, and collective or collaborative creation is not accepted in the Competition.
  2. The Organiser reserves the right to publish, distribute, exhibit and/or use the Entries for promotional purposes, etc., without any obligations of payment to the Entrant such as copyright fees and royalties; the copyright of all Entries and related photos and footage will be owned by the Organiser. The Organiser reserves the right to modify, publish and/or print the Entries for promotional and commercial purposes, etc.
  3. Should the Competition Entry involves disputes over copyright, portrait rights, etc., the sole responsibility shall be held by the Entrant.
  4. By using Instagram or Facebook to enter the Competition, the Entrant hereby authorises Ocean Park Corporation to publish or share the Entry via Instagram API or Facebook API or other channels. 
  5. Entrants are not allowed to advertise in the name of Ocean Park Corporation without prior approval from Ocean Park Corporation.
  6. By entering the Competition, the Entrant acknowledges and agrees to abide by the Laws of Hong Kong, the Ocean Park Bylaw, Instagram and Facebook Community Guidelines and Terms of Use. Ocean Park Corporation shall be under no liability or responsibility for any loss of any kind or any damage to any property of any Entrant.
  7. Should the Competition Entry contains any elements that may promote, encourage and/or incite the use or threat of violence, criminal intent, illegal hate speech, misleading information, sensitive personal information, obscenity, pornographic, universal values and/or principles of animal welfare, etc., the Organiser reserves all legal rights to pursue any legal actions as deemed necessary while the Entry will be disqualified immediately.
  8. In case of any dispute(s), Ocean Park Corporation reserves the final decision regarding this Competition. Ocean Park Corporation also reserves the right to amend or change the Terms and Conditions of the Competition at any time without any prior notice. In case of any discrepancy between the Chinese version and the English version of the Terms and Conditions of the Competition, the English version shall prevail.
  9. This Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or other associated with Instagram, Inc. or Facebook Inc. You understand and acknowledge that you are submitting your Entry to the Organiser and not to Instagram Inc. or Facebook Inc.
