오션파크로 떠나는 즐거운 여행에 필요한 모든 것
In celebration of Ocean Park’s 40th anniversary, Ocean Park has designed a birthday party-themed float to participate in the 2017 Cathay Pacific International Chinese New Year Night Parade on the first day of the Chinese lunar calendar, 28 January. The float will be transformed into a mobile gallery showcasing photos and videos of memorable moments of Ocean Park over the past years. Whiskers will lead his Friends, the park’s cute series mascots, to cheer for the new year with audience along the route. The colourful float, namely Celebrate the 40th anniversary of Ocean Park in this joyous new year together!, will be led by a giant birthday cake, animal-shaped inflatables, stilt performers and child dancers from Island Dance School Hong Kong, engaging everyone into a joyous and energetic new year!
Perry Chung, Marketing Director of Ocean Park, said “Through this year’s Chinese New Year float parade, we hope to recall people’s great times spent at Ocean Park with their loved ones in the previous years and familiarize the public about our cute series mascots, which are committed to spread conservation messages. Ocean Park will introduce a series of celebration campaigns for the 40th anniversary and continue to deliver the best guest experience, creating more wonderful memories for all guests.”
Ocean Park Lunar Lucky Fiesta will present guests with a series of exciting shows and decorations to welcome a prosperous and lucky Year of the Rooster, from 28 January to 12 February 2017. At the Waterfront Plaza, guests can take a stroll through the Lunar Floral Garden, and capture happy moments in front of festive decorations, including golden roosters, fortune wheels, and drums that symbolize prosperity to herald the coming of the Chinese New Year! For those who wish to boost their wealth and happiness, they can walk up and down the Golden Blossom Lane, and visit the God of Wealth at the Golden Palace of Fortune to receive red packets filled with in-park coupons and sweet treats.
To fill the Park with a lively and festive atmosphere, a variety of ecstatic seasonal shows will be staged at various corners of the Park. Mr. Rooster’s Stunt Show, a comedy act performed at Old Hong Kong, will leave guests alternately gasping with wonder and laughter. They can also dance into the New Year with the powerful beats and skillful manoeuvres showcased in the Lucky Lunar Dragon Dance at Thrill Mountain and Polar Adventure, as well as the Feisty New Year Lion Dance moving between Waterfront Plaza, Polar Adventure and Old Hong Kong. Also featured will be two traditional Chinese performances, the New Year’s Maskstravaganza and Kung Fu Master.
Adding to the joy of the New Year, the well-acclaimed Cyber Illusion Spectacular will continue to amaze guests during the Lunar Lucky Fiesta. Themed around illusion, magic and wonder, the show features breathtaking magic acts performed by world-class illusionists on a futuristic stage with walls of LED lights, including double levitation acts, lightning-fast costume change mixed with ballroom dance and escape from cages. This Lunar New Year extravaganza is set to wow audiences as they begin a fantastic new year!
