This year, Ocean Park will feature its annual winter highlight – Christmas Sensation – from 12 December 2015 to 3 January 2016. Ocean Park welcomes the joyous season with a burst of kaleidoscopic wonder featuring Christmas fantasy ice skating shows and stunning aerial and acrobatic acts. Delicious festive menus and specials add to the perfect family Christmas celebration.
Ocean Park’s Tuxedos Restaurant and Neptune’s Restaurant will offer a variety of seasonal dishes with classic Christmas garnishes. Fluffi the new Ocean Park mascot who is in love with winter features in the menu taking guests on a Christmas gourmet journey.
The 4-course Holly Jolly Christmas Menu adds a hint of festive cheer; Flying Reindeers Salad, smoked duck breast salad served with fresh fruits and pomegranate starts the menu with a dash, followed by a warming Melting Snowman Soup, cream of chestnut with smoked turkey and topped off with an egg white snowman. Ringing in the main course, guests can have a taste of Christmas withJingle Bell Turkey, made with roasted turkey and honey glazed ham, served with potato croquettes stuffed with chestnut and garden vegetables. Topping off the festive menu is a delicious dessert, Wishful Snow Globe, made with fresh mango mousse, red currant and Christmas cookies. The Wishful Snow Globe features Fluffi and invites guests to make a Christmas wish before they set off to explore the Park’s Christmas offerings.
To further indulge into the joyous atmosphere, guests can also order Snowy Rainbow, a special drink with a mix of Sprite, mixed fruit, diced jelly, mint syrup and red currant, rimmed with red sugar. During the Christmas Sensation period, the Park’s mascots, giddy with the Christmas spirit, will appear in every corner of the Park – including the restaurants. Guests can seize the chance to take pictures with them whilst enjoying the charming Christmas menu.
A special kids menu, The Joyful Ocean Express, pays tribute to the signature Park attraction, the Ocean Express. The menu, available at Tuxedos Restaurant, Neptune’s Restaurant and The Terrace Café, features favourites such as battered potatoes, chicken nuggets, fusilli with shredded chicken in tomato sauce and poached, assorted seasonal vegetables. Guests can also purchase the Ocean Express Meal Box and take home for a lasting memory of the Christmas Sensation experience.
Adding to the mirthful atmosphere in the Park, the other restaurants and kiosks are offering special snacks in celebration of the festive season. The Aqua City Bakery is offering a series of sweet treats, including lemon flavoured Snow Tart, the fruity Christmas Yule Logand Christmas Minced Pie. Other delights include Christmas Roasted Chicken Pizza (pizza in the shape of a Christmas tree) andTurkey Sandwich, both available at the kiosks.
Nick Lee, Ocean Park’s Senior Food & Beverage Operations Manager, said, “This year, our Christmas Sensation will feature a colourful kaleidoscopic world. We have used many festive colours, in addition to the traditional Christmas elements, to create a cheerful and lively feel to our menus. The new adorable and stylish mascot, Fluffi, will also appear in some of the dishes to the delight and surprise our patrons.”
The Park is also offering a collection of festive merchandise commemorating our guests’ Ocean Park memories. Available during Christmas Sensation, the merchandise includes animal-themed hood scarfs, penguin cushion, penguin Thermos bottles and much more. Large, adorable snowman and polar bear stuffed toys are ready at game booths for guests to win big this winter! Guests of all ages can even put on festive colours and patterns, such as Christmas trees, snowflakes and a snowman, by trying out face-painting services offered by our professional artists at the Waterfront.
