Ocean Park, in partnership with Ng Teng Fong Charitable Foundation, hosted a family fun day today to bring nature-themed activities and edutainment to underserved communities.
About 500 beneficiaries from families with children and youth served by Tung Wah Group of Hospitals and Po Leung Kuk and their subsidiaries, enjoyed a day brimming with laughter, love and care as they embarked on a nature exploration journey at Ocean Park.
Apart from meeting the Park’s adorable animal ambassadors and joining interactive programmes, such as the Star Explorers Club and Whiskers Village Ocean Guardians, to learn about the importance of protecting nature, participants also had a chance to enjoy the art of mecha anime at the Ocean Park x Father of Gundam – Okawara Kunio 50th Anniversary Exhibition and share some hair-raising moments on thrill rides.
“We would like to thank Ng Teng Fong Charitable Foundation for their generous sponsorship and incredible support to the beneficiaries and the Park. This family fun day shows how getting closer to animals and nature can help us step away from daily hassles and strengthen family bonds. It also reinforces the Park’s mission on conservation and education by allowing more people to enjoy and learn about nature. Together with our sponsors, Ocean Park looks forward to positively impacting the lives of others and spreading conservation messages,” said Ysanne Chan, Deputy Chief Executive & Chief Financial Officer of Ocean Park Corporation.
